I rolled up my sleeves and started my career as a fashion designer 23 years ago, while simultaneously studying at New York’s Fashion Institute of Technology. Since then, I have directed some of the top apparel ateliers in the NYC fashion district. While training and working with the best teams in the industry over the years; I have designed, styled, altered and pattern-cut for many notable fashion brands.
In addition to catering to my New York private clientele, I also tailor alterations and customize for some of the world’s top fashion magazines, luxury brand ad campaigns and A-list celebrities.
Altering and designing luxury clothing is a celebration of fashion history, timeless style without sacrificing the craft of apparel construction and its endless possibilities – but most importantly, balancing the human body .
Hints of timeless decadence in combination with the modern are what made me fall in love with fashion at the age of 7. I would spend countless hours analyzing my parents clothes inside and out in addition to sketching and designing for my favorite female icons – from Audrey Hepburn, Jackie O, Charlie’s Angels to Marlene Dietrich, Rita Hayworth and Marilyn Monroe. My favorite classic male style-icons were (and still are) Cary Grant, Fred Astaire, Dick Van Dyke to Robert Redford and Richard Gere in American Gigolo.
When taking a break from the fashion table, I like to indulge in my other passions – film, literature, music, art, fitness, travel, languages, cooking, good wine, a great scotch and photography. These categories play a key role on my inspiration-board. Keeping busy and laughing daily is the fountain of youth!
